Mindy Faber is the Program Director of Convergence Design Lab, an applied research center and design studio at Columbia College Chicago’s School of Media Arts that partners with organizations to prepare youth to become future-ready, media fluent and active participants in public life. From 2013-2016, Faber directed the Convergence Academies, a 4 million dollar U.S. Department of Education whole school transformation initiative that enacted a connected learning model across two entire schools. With a background in video art and technology, Mindy is also a former high school teacher and a multiple awarding winning media artist, curator and educator and widely regarded as a leading authority on youth media, digital literacy and connected learning.

Mindy holds an MFA in Art and Technology from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and certificates in E-Learning and Digital Culture and Learning Experience Design.
